About the Conference

The National Conference on Climate Resilient WASH – 2026 aims to bring together researchers, academicians, government officials, engineers, WASH professionals, development practitioners, NGOs, industries, technology providers, start-ups and students on a common platform to exchange knowledge, research findings, technological innovations and field experiences related to climate-resilient WASH and sustainable water security.

The conference will include keynote addresses, technical paper presentations, poster presentations, technology exhibitions, product demonstrations and industry–academia networking, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

Application and Review Process

NO REGISTRATION FEE:

Applicants need not give any application fee. Participation in this Conference is COMPLETELY FREE.

Researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, government officials, students and other interested contributors are invited to submit Extended Abstracts (of 2 pages) presenting original research, innovations, case studies, field experiences, technological solutions, policy insights and good practices related to Climate-Resilient WASH.

Application process

Step 1: Applicant must Register and Submit the Extended Abstract on the Microsoft CMT portal. 

Please submit the Extended Abstract (of 2 pages) as per this template. 

Step 2: Copy and note the Paper ID given on the CMT portal. 

Step 3. Register on the Conference Attendance Form. Ensure that the Submission ID given to you ealier is entered on this page. 

Review & Presentation Workflow:

• Desk & Peer Review: All submitted Extended Abstracts will undergo an initial desk review followed by evaluation by experts from the Conference Evaluation Committee.

• Intimation of Acceptance: Authors of accepted Extended Abstracts will be informed by 16th September 2026.

• Final Submissions: Authors selected for oral presentations and poster presentations must submit their final PowerPoint slides or posters by 22nd September 2026.

Presentation and Exhibition Opportunities

Oral Paper Presentation

Selected authors will present their research, innovations, case studies or field experiences before experts and conference participants. Each oral presentation is strictly allotted approximately 10 minutes, including Q&A discussion.

Poster Presentation

Selected contributors will display and present their posters before the Evaluation Committee and conference delegates.

Technology Exhibition & Startup Expo

Government agencies, industries, start-ups, NGOs, research institutions, development partners and technology providers are invited to showcase innovative solutions in areas including:

Publication of Extended Abstracts

Extended abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and assigned an ISBN.

Participation Expenses & Logistics Notice

Participants, authors, paper and poster presenters and exhibitors shall make their own arrangements for travel, accommodation, food and other incidental expenses associated with participation in the conference.

Similarly, all expenditure related to participation in paper presentations, poster presentations and exhibition stalls, including transportation and other necessary logistical requirements, shall be borne by the respective participants/organisations.

No travel, accommodation or other participation-related expenses will be reimbursed by the organisers.

ABOUT SCHOOL OF WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING

A Centre for Water Resources Engineering started functioning as an interdisciplinary group in R&D activities in June, 1983. From its formation, the Centre was associated with the Departments of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering and Geological Sciences. It was attached to the Hydraulics and Fluid Engineering specialization of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Centre was transformed into a School in 1987. It has received recognition from both the UGC, MHRD and AICTE. The School has been offering a “Four Semester Master of Engineering” course in “Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering” at Post-graduate level sanctioned by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with an intake capacity of 18 students (Gate :13 , Sponsored : 5) per year and a “Six Semester Master of Engineering” course in “Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering” at Post-graduate level sanctioned by AICTE with an intake capacity of 18 students per year. The School of Water Resources Engineering, Jadavpur University has been awarded by the Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure in Universities and Higher Educational Institutions (FIST) Programme of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The School has national & international links with different renowned universities & research organizations as regards to collaborative programme.
